Paris-based Indie/Shoegaze foursome Dewey rolls out the Official Video by fellow Parisian Indie filmmakers Emma Birski and Alexis Tinevez, for the third and final single, “Outside of the Lines”, taken from the band’s debut album, “Summer On A Curb”, scheduled for release on February 13, 2026, via Howlin Banana Records.
11 overtly captivating self-produced songs, deftly written by singer and guitarist Matthieu Berton, which provide a fresh modern take on familiar ’90s Shoegaze blueprints, blending ethereal yet vibrant noisy guitar textures with open-hearted, nostalgic melodic sensibilities, echoing the sound of current US indie acts like Wishy, Wednesday, Hotline TNT, Slow Pulp or Momma.
“Outside of the Lines” builds immersive, radiating mists drenched in vibrant layers of buzzing, fuzzy guitar distortion, anchored by shuffling drum beats and humming bass lines, hanging and grating around slightly abrasive, airy downtrodden vocals, softly soaring into hopeful dreams alongside the upbeat vibrancy of nostalgic synth motifs.
The visuals by Parisian Indie filmmakers Emma Birski and Alexis Tinevez, show Dewey‘s singer, lyricist and guitarist Matthieu Berton performing his daily wash routine against a pretty pink backdrop. His face remains expressionless until the very end, when he pins his nametag onto a bright yellow work apron, syncing seamlessly with the sentiments of the soundtrack.
Dewey‘s debut album, “Summer On A Curb”, will be released, in ltd. CD & Digital formats, on February 13, 2026, via Howlin Banana Records.
