The Nagoya-based five piece drops a cozy music video shot by Minasama’s Paradise for the cherished, previously unreleased track “Someday Somewhere” via Kyoto‘s DIY label Amelie Records.
A warm, crisp touching mood sways between poignant melancholy and frenetic yearning, steered by skittering drum beats rapidly shuffling with gloomy, humming bass lines underneath an intricate, piercing thread of insistently sparkling and emotionally abrasive ringing guitar melodies that billow around vulnerable and fragile layered male/female vocals, radiating anxiety and fear about being abandoned into a breezy cathartic ending, “I will see you somewhere.”
The paired visuals by Minasama’s Paradise offer an up-close look at Belinda May as they perform “someday somewhere” on a plainly decorated set next to a large window with fuzzy white light shining through.
