Sleepwalk, the Chicago-based four piece outfit, made up of founding member Ryan Davis (Guitar / Vocals), joined by Tyler Gargula (Guitar / Vocals), Vic Ordonez (Bass), and Marcus Johnson (Drums), prepares for a Winter Tour to kick off the November 13th release of the fourth album, “View From The Outside,” with an Official Music Video directed by Max Rubin and Matthew Brown for the lead single “Sandbox”, via MNRK Heavy Records.

Fine purveyors since 2015 of tormented, obscure melodies stained with a post-punk aesthetic, packed with 90s shoegaze-style thunderous distorted walls of sound, getting even heavier and faster on the post-hardcore-laced 2024 EP, “Out Of Focus .”
The foursome, with a radically retooled lineup, further develop their latest progressive yet relatable post-hardcore leanings on the upcoming album, five years since their last one, elevating its “heavy music for the lighthearted” signature with an expanded sonic palette.

Ceaselessly propelled by steady hard-hitting drums and brooding bass pulses, the atmospheric yet crunchy, compelling ‘noise-pop’ sounding “Sandbox” sways effortlessly between turmoil and introspection, through an ebb and wave of fuzzy jagged guitar riffs and shrieky wailing chimes, to build up and rise with crashing droning urgency over sad, dreamy male vocals, and rousing supports, into cathartic uplifting swells of echo-inducing distraction, ‘Ignore anything that disrupts the dream, who knew life was so easy? ‘
The visuals, directed by Max Rubin and Matthew Brown, place a yellow screen with interpretive inkblots behind Sleepwalk as they perform “Sandbox.” During the heavy, grunge-laden parts of the song, jittery overlays with yellow and purple colors transform the view with disconnected frequencies, syncing seamlessly with the concept of the soundtrack.
Sleepwalk‘s upcoming fourth album, “View From The Outside,” is scheduled to be released (Ltd Vinyl 12″/CD & Digital) on November 13, 2026 via MNRK Heavy Records
