Video Of The Day DAS FLUFF
London / Berlin ‘post-punk electro filth’ band Das Fluff, fronted by the compelling and magnetic vocalist Dawn Lintern, drops a metaphysical music video created by Saigon‘s director Yen Apus Nguyen, featuring Tuan Nghia Tuan Chu, for the immersive track “Wake Up” taken from last year’s 15-track album “Maximum Damage.”
“Wake Up”, infused with heartfelt lyrics finding a balance between the toxic state of current world affairs and the beauty of life, unfurls slow soulful moods to ignite low, crawling bass lines, scattered multi-dimensional beats, hypnotic synth waves, and tinkling piano keys to expand surreal textures around the powerfully evocative female vocals releasing deep soul-stirring breathes of agony and ecstasy into the beautiful clarity of violin chord flutter.
Ritual, painted hands dance over a sleeping cyberpunk, lost in an electronic spell of swirling neon fragments. Mystical symbols from Singapore flow through the ornate embroidery of a shaman’s robe, breaking streams of sleepy sand from the closed eyes of resistance. Sheer silver gauze enshrouds delusional dreams with digital matrix vision whilst the slow-motion body contortions of ancient healers transform the alien strands of consciousness with iridescent orbs and ceremonial totems to awaken inner doorways of the mind from the shimmering allure of robotic entities.
