WL//WH Track Of The Day: A DEEPER HEAVEN “High”

Track Of The Day A DEEPER HEAVEN

Fine purveyor of dreamy, contemplative, immersive Shoegaze soundscapes, infused with a “sense of bittersweet motion”, that pulls influence from The Smiths, Jesus and Mary Chain, Echo & the Bunnymen, Adorable, Catherine Wheel, The Smiths, The Cure, DIIV, and Ride, Salt Lake City, Utah-based musician and composer Mark Wheeler, under his A Deeper Heaven moniker, teases the incoming EP, due next April 25, 2025, with its title and opening track “High.”

A cathartic and uplifting Ride-esque love song to the sun and life, “High” glistens and trembles on gliding, and shimmering, atmospheric guitar chords, stirred by shuffling drums and sinuously warm, humming bass pulses, that shift and swell lightheartedly, rippling with swirling and sparkling vibrancy, to meld into an enveloping sensory, subtly heady psychedelic aura, around airy, elated, layered vocals, grateful to have healed and found home.

A Deeper Heaven‘s new EP, “High,” is slated for release on Digital format via A Deeper Heaven‘s Bandcamp on 4/25/2025, whilst the physical CD edition will be available on Shore Dive Records.
