Void Club is a new Shoegaze band from West Yorkshire, Northern England, who have just dropped their debut self-produced single, “Things Fall Apart”, paired with a studio live session video.
An immersive, engrossing listen that blends 90s shoegaze with psychedelic glimmers, recalling the likes of early The Verve, Ride, and Stone Roses, with minimal, mantra-like lyrics suggesting that when something falls apart, one should start something new from the end of it, through a lens of finding resilience and hope.
“Things Fall Apart” unravels a swaying space-out journey rife with engulfing, fuzzed-out shoegaze drifts and swirling, resonant psychedelic visions that wash over somber melodies and shuffling beats, inside of which glide soft melancholic vocals, gently echoing and falling, with a weight of frustration, to soar and wane into beautifully airy, stirring harmonies.
