• Northern Irish synth electronic musician based in Belfast, Crystalline Stricture “Traum Huntress (MADMOIZEL Remix)” from the new album “Technique” on TONN Recordings.
  

After spending the week listening to the infectious THIS IS THE BRIDGE EP, Belfast synth finest Crystalline Stricture serves a full lashings of glorious analog synth goodness. Graced further by a remix by the unmistikable Madmoizel, synth music barely sounds as vibrant and as invigorating as this.

As cold and oppressive, as it is pounding, and abrasive, we’re immediately struck by the impressive debut stab of minimal and angular post-punk from all-girl Sidney‘s trio with nods to early Wire guitar work. It would fit great in the late70’/early 80s Small Wonder and Rough Trade labels along with early DIY unforgettable bands like Lilliputt, and PragVEC.

Pummelling drumbeats, bouncing and hypnotic bass lines and ominous synth arpeggios over alluringly defiant ‘noirish’ vocals make for another great darkly danceable as fu**k single for the Parisian coldwave one man band.
