The heartfelt inspired multifaceted songwriting from longstanding singer/songwriter Fred Thomas, always able to give spurts of both poetic and intimate vibrant guitar pop emotions, returns with a new single as a trio featuring the support of Devon and Frances, the latter on alluring bittersweet lead vocals, slightly shifting the sonic vibes. “Corridors of Summer” is an obscure and intense electro-acoustic folksy ballad enshrouded in an equally seducing and estranging hazy dim-lit auras, with nods to Big Star’s “Third” period, that unfolds through steady punchy rhythms that chug against reflective, poignant strummed guitar riffs around beautifully sad and dreamy vocals to pierce the agony and ecstasy of an alienated existence with lonely and disconnected frequencies of buzzing distortion.
