Fresh from a Latin-American summer tour, Darkways, the dynamic Barcelona-based Goth Post Punk project of Marc Pérez and Lluís Sanz, warms up the September 19th live gig in Köln, Germany, with an Official Video by Albert Monsalve for “Legado”, part of last January’s studio album, “Rust.”

The magniloquently introduced “Legado” ignites a dark, urgent rush of crashing programmed beats, skipping along ominous creeping bass lines, topped with an emotional whirlwind of dimly glowing melancholic synths with icy, shivering fringes, joined by frantic ripples of sparkling guitar stabs to tear apart sad, regretful male vocals and pain-filled longing, with stoic swells of temptation and punishment.

In the visuals directed by Albert Monsalve, Darkways performs “Legado” under transformative shadows against a hard grey concrete slab, to bring forth the critical message: ‘He who has not lived cannot fall.’ The energy is passionate as the edgy black-clad duo vigorously play the bass and guitar seamlessly in sync with the disappointment, sadness, and anxiety of the soundtrack.
