Track Of The Day Hanging Gardens
Metz, France-based darkwave duo Hanging Gardens, comprising singer Nadia B and multi-instrumentalist Loic V, announce the release of the upcoming 8-track debut album “Mue,” due out on the 25th of September, with the first excerpt, “Alors si.”
Focused on an atmospheric and evocative dark sound, lush and sharp at the same time, the duo have developed an assertive command and cultivated insight into how to handle ’80s orthodox post-punk and coldwave blueprints.

A moody, haunting and sparkling guitar/synth backdrop, joined by sequencers, drum machines and clinical cold restraint, bolsters and gives space to a distinctive, passionate storytelling, delivered with an intriguingly detached vocal style of magnetic personality.
“Alors si”‘, lyric-wise, asks what the next thing a person is going to do after a life of relentless disappointment through a lens of love, healing, and acceptance.
Draped in an uncanny chill of aching melancholy, searing, effect-filled, piercing shards of guitar, woven with dazzling synths, sonorously chime and shiver over tight, droning mechanical rhythms, to supply a bouncy, vibrant skeleton for aloof, tough, edgy female spoken words to smear and echo into an aura of anxiety, sadness, pain.
