Following releases on Opal Tapes, Seagrave, Amek, Yerevan tapes, Bulgarian experimental electronic artist Evitceles goes DIY through a combination of contrasting moods and soundscapes, in an album apparently split into two halves. The first with ominous hypnotic rhythmic pulsations, obsessive clanging erratic beats, and dramatic spacious synth lines, while the second with dilated and somber ambient textures, melodic harmonic fragments and hazy ethereal vocal swells, no less subtly disturbing and alienating, both utterly complementary and equally compelling.
