Soundwire, the Cardiff/Bristol-based Alt /Psychedelic Rockers, dropped a limited edition double A-side 7″ white lathe cut single, “These Little Moments’ + ‘20 / 20” last weekend, via the Dublin, Ireland vinyl specialist DIY label, Fuzzed Up & Astromoon Records, paired with the Official Videos for both tracks created by Peter Moore himself.

Formed in Swansea, South Wales in 2011 by the ex-Sweetest Ache vocalist Simon Court and guitarist Peter Moore, the band recently saw the departure of the former, with the latter taking the lead vocal duties.

Soundwire‘s electrifying atmospheric guitar-driven sound is defined by a relentless raw vibrancy and a rich and immersive explorative genre-blurring approach drawing from Krautrock, Psychedelic, Garage and Shoegaze elements.

A sun-drenched, reflective, high energy free-fall, “These Little Moments” is imbued with a gripping sense of urgency, while keeping a deft balance between depth, intensity and restraint.

The song swirls around the seething, melting haze of a tumultuous, pulsing rhythmic drive, churning, droning undertones, smudged fuzz-laden distorted edges, spectral spacey keyboard blankets, and subtly billowing discordant energy, to wash whispery, elated male vocals, longing for the sunrise, amidst choppy waves of effect-laden storms.

In the visuals directed by Peter Moore, Soundwire performs “These Little Moments” under a slew of trippy animations, syncing seamlessly with the psychedelic explosion of the soundtrack. Like a movie projector, colorful geometric shapes combine with computer-generated expansions, dancing figures, and natural earthen elements to guide the mind’s eye through shifting perceptual dimensions.
