WL//WH Video Of The Day IOANA IORGU
The Amsterdam, Netherlands-based independent Alternative Rock / Post Punk music producer, multi-instrumentalist and composer Ioana Iorgu unveils the first excerpt and title track from her forthcoming 11-track fourth studio album, “Chamber of Hearts,” scheduled to be released on October 8th, accompanied by an Official Music Video filmed by Veerle de Vos and edited and color graded by Ioana herself.
Imbued with a slow-burning, tumultuous energy, “Chamber of Hearts” unfolds raw, hypnotic, plucked guitar chords laced with a dry, heart-rending depression, anchored by rambling, sonorous percussions, and humming bass lines, to ring out and wail into an eerie effect-laden, crashing vortex, washing over Ioana’s tragically haunted vocals, aching sadness, confusion, and fear about losing precious time to a smothering alternate persona.
In the Official Music Video filmed by Veerle de Vos and edited and color graded by Ioana Iorgu herself, Ioana performs the dueling personalities mentioned in the lyrics. The first scene uses a simple monochromatic set where Ioana, dressed in plain black clothing, holds a candle and hugs herself next to her shadow. In the opposing scene, she wears a white mask over a draped black dress, worn with over-the-elbow formal gloves against a bright red-ish, orange backdrop. The perception of the colorless realm is straightforward but dimly lit, whilst the other is surreal with strange proportions, syncing seamlessly with the thought-provoking soundtrack.
Keep up with Ioana Iorgu:
