Video Of The Day KALLSUP
Örebro-based Shoegaze six-piece Kallsup rolls out the first single, “Kino”, taken from the band’s forthcoming sophomore album ”Alldeles för nära”, due out in Fall 2026 via VÅRØ Records, paired with an Official Music Video by Team Tony.
Dubbed by the label, ‘the banger fans have been waiting for since “Svartån”‘, the Swedish unit, made up of Eline Gustafsson (vocals), Edwin Karolczak (guitar), Carl Libert (vocals, guitar), William Ulff (bass), Elin Lindström Svernby (synth) and Joakim Jakobsson (drums), expand their refined dark atmospheric array of shoegaze, dream pop, and post-rock suggestions effortlessly, into a rich yet concise heady billow of deeply-infectious immersive sonic wondrousness.

A relentless pulsing rhythmic drive fuels achingly ringing, stirring guitar reverberations that come together seamlessly with dizzying hazy swirls, swept in a vibrant, fuzz-laced momentum, wrought with wistful, resonant piano stabs, to surge along with aloof, flirty female vocals, pulled down into anxiety by the weight of confusion and dread.
In the visuals directed by Team Tony, Eline Gustafsson sings “Kino” under an assortment of perception-changing lights that not only transform how she sees others but creates another version of herself. After negative light vision inverts things, a speeding, out-of-control tunnel takes her to a dark outdoor setting where the rest of the band looks at her with expressionless faces before walking away from her into the woods. They are all dressed in plain black clothing, the camera angles are skewed, and at one point the natural horizon turns vertical, creating a surreal, nightmarish vibe.
Keep up with Kallsup:
