WL//WH Video Of The Day: FAME AFTER DEATH “Self Expression Is Art” (Official Video) uncut version

Video Of The Day Fame After Death

After a debut album, “Chaos,” in 2021, the Greek Post-Punk band formerly known as Twisted, made of bassist &  vocalist ZVXII (Stavros) and guitarist MÄKI, refurfaces under the new moniker of Fame After Death with an Official Video (uncut version) directed by Manos Moutaftsis for the first single, “Self Expression Is Art,”  via crxcifixixn records.

A really cool slice of minimal Post-punk driven by a gloomy, nervously meandering bassline perpetually pulsing its way alongside skipping mid-tempo drum patterns, lingeringly stabbed by abrasive dry riffs casting harsh sorrow at depressed baritone spoken words, explaining what it is like to lose yourself, consciously, to an inner darkness.

In the Official Video (uncut version), by Manos Moutaftsis, Fame After Death performs “Self Expression Is Art” with the intense focused emotion of the soundtrack. The edgy black-clad duo stands with instruments in an outdoor field where the sun’s angle is either rising or setting to create a bleak tone. If you pay attention, you will see MÄKI crack a smile, but it doesn’t last long, so keep your eyes peeled.
