Conceived in 2022 by João Pessoa-based denizen Victor L., the Brazilian Nordeste dystopic Darkwave project Posthuman Age delivers both lush and clattering, as well as evocative and menacing Synth-fuelled dark-clad sound pulled by a wide spectrum of Dark Electro, Dark Synth, EBM, Gothic rock, Darkwave, Post-punk, and Dark Psytrance leanings.
The highly promising, Psytrance-inspired, cinematic first single, “Resist”, delves into a shadowy and daring post-human realm driven by high energy pounding drum beats laced with relentlessly droning and bouncy bass lines, cold mesmerizing swirling synth stabs, and warped shivering trancey melodies, to encapsulate dire, atmospheric baritone broods, delivering an alienating message of strength, hope, and resistance with merciless surges of tragedy and pain.
