WL//WH Video of the Day: METADONA “Uno”

Video Of The Day  Metadona

One I don’t connect, I’m not sorry is this sinister game of shooting to kill, without an endpoint. I don’t connect, I’m not sorry. It’s so uncertain, I sense this fear, inside viral dementia, which becomes lethal, I don’t connect, I don’t feel. I don’t connect, I don’t understand.

Following their 2018‘s debut album “Dosis”, Colombian Dark Pop / Post-Punk power trio Metadona based out of Bogotà, made of Julian Ossa (Lead Vocals – Guitar), Vicente Gómez (Bass and Vocals), Diego Alvarado L. (Drums and Vocals), have unveiled the first single, titled “Uno”, from the upcoming sophomore album “Pànico Moral”, along with the related Video directed by Juan Ossa with the contribution of Gerónimo Arrieta.

“Uno” kicks off with clashing, pounding rhythmic drumbeats that set an urgent tempo amid ominous and sinister synth melodies, as sonic swish samples fuse with metallic abrasive guitar strings, piercing the tense and gripping soundscape infused in hissing drone alarm for dire dominant intense male vocals to evoke fear and anxiety over societal claustrophobic alienation.

Mind-bending black and white video, directed by Juan Ossa, alternates dimensional realities between post-apocalyptic industrial decay and a stark sterile room, showcasing an energetic performance, pogo dancing, and an exploration into a mysterious dwelling set askew by rotating, split-screen, time-lapse, and zoom photography to reveal the hidden truth that lies above.

Metadona‘s second album “Pànico Moral” is slated for release, Cassette & Digital, at the end of April.

Keep up with Metadona:
