WARM are a five-piece band from New York, in March 2015 they released their promising debut EP ‘Warm Pt. 1’, just now the following, simply titled ‘Warm Pt. 2’ has been unveiled, four-track of dense, evocative and suggestive atmospheric shoegaze.
There’s something epic and unsettling in the disconsolate grief of “Hollow”, but the band never exceed the measure, perfectly succeeding in balance the fully emotionally charged atmosphere with the linearity of its texture thanks to a skilful dosage of the elements: the reverb guitar layers are enthralling, the bass is threatening, the drums are tight, the amazingly emotional intertwined male and female vocals, everything perfectly blends together to evoke crepuscular and misty landscapes, soaked by a darkly and an alienating feel of painful nostalgia and hopeless longing.
‘I left my heart out / I left my love / Learning to live lonely / In a world that’s not enough’
It’s easy to literally abandon oneself to its intense and intriguing charm, its hint of naked bitterness, that’s ‘shoegaze soul music’…
Keep up with Warm:
