Track Of The Day MORE FRILLS
Following 3 tracks in 2025, More Frills, the German female-fronted gloomy Grunge / Post Punk Poetic duo from Düsseldorf, recently expanded to a four-piece, herald the new year with the atmospheric and immersive new single, “Ghosts.”
More Frills fuses an array of moody, noisy and dreamy sonic elements, drawing from Post Punk, Grunge, and Shoegaze, yet not only, judging by the new song, augmented by classical, folk and vaguely psychedelic leanings.
An agonizing and visceral emotional-drenched inner exploration that unravels, on the backdrop of an earnest brassy cello rumble, over the murky, martial and stompy pace of steady thudding percussions, lilting tambourine jingles, and whooshing cymbals to anchor lonely sparkling arpeggios and scruffing-up grungy guitar riffs around slightly sung, restless female spoken words of dread and anger, layering with frustrated groans, to release the unnerving tension fading out into a droning, ghostly coda of melancholic introspection.
Keep up with More Frills:
