WL//WH Track Of The Day GLASS CHAPEL
Formed in 2022, Glass Chapel, made up of Jake Phillips (guitar, vocals), Angela Sitzler (synth, bass) and Nick Phitides (guitar), is a Post-punk/Cold Wave band from Jacksonville, Florida, inspired by bands such as The Cure, Cold Cave, Slowdive, and Asylum Party.
Incorporating an infamous quote of life wisdom from “Twin Peaks” (I’ll let you spot it), the latest atmospheric single, “Snow”, about a lost soul who feels like they are losing their mind because they are blinded by and caught in their environment, delivers chills of melancholic Cold Wave beauty, creating a dark-lit, dramatic, anguished atmosphere that hits and enraptures with its perpetual enveloping gloom and haunting glistening reverbs.

Relentless, loud lashing beats fuel spiky, pain-filled guitar lines that make their way with lugubrious solemn resonance, coated with ethereal layers of desolate synth, alternating with evocative sparkling arpeggios and a murky pool of abrasive, hopeless riffs, while downtrodden, slightly angsty vocals agonize in haunted fear.
