- Brooklyn, NYC goth /darkwave /post-punk trio None Shall Remain “ It’s the End” from the 2-track single “Chasing Shadows”
NYC Goth-tinged Post-Punk outfit drops a tormented shadow-blanketed, yet with glimpses of light, two-track single that dives into themes of inner struggle and rebirth. More anxious and skewed “Chasing Shadows” with echoes and whispers, still hangs on to the past darkness, but with truthful awareness and hope, whereas the flip, “It’s the End”, features glistening ethereal guitars layered with liquid washing atmospheric synth drama and sorrowful male vocals of a devotional mourning quality, accepting and letting go, saying goodbye to lies.

UK Goth Post-punk solo project returns with a rampant, gritty, wrath-fueled drive of hammering drums, thrumming gloomy bass lines and a doom synth-coated barrage of high-pitched, thorny guitars that swirl, with excruciating agony, around layers of cracked, distorted vocals, shivering rage and repulsion toward modern society at large, “I reject you!”

Loosely inspired by pioneer artists Robert Smithson and Nancy Holt, “Starfire” deftly combines danceable rolling rhythms and New Order-esque throbbing moody low-end gloom with stacking, tinkly stabs and swirling, glaring melancholic synths around smooth magnetic baritones, casting off deep cracking echoes under deep lashing blows, longing for silence, fire, and desire.
