With nods to Cocteau Twins, Mazzy Star, Lush, Drop Nineteens, Slowdive and Beach House, the British artist delivers an immersive and captivating songwriting wrapped in lush, reverb-drenched washes of shoegaze guitar textures blended with ethereal dream-pop atmospherics and a soft, expressive vocal delivery, all invigorated with a fair amount of noise and grit.

“Getting Colder”  is about trying to find escape during the colder, bleaker months of the year.

Roused by stumbling drums and sinuous, warm bass pulses, thoughtful shimmery guitar strums slowly burst and sway into a hazy flourishing blanket of fuzzy guitars and liquid synth fills, sparsely rippled by fiery poignant whines, to swell in turbulent mists and wailing spectral distortions, encapsulating layers of vibrant, dreamy female longing inside a heady vortex of enchanted sensations.

The Official Video, directed by Huw Williams, sets Kiera Barnes against an urban river area where different modes of transportation flow under choppy time-lapse streams. The vision combines grainy nighttime, cloudy daytime, and inverted perception with a slew of symbolic elements and movements to bring forth the disorientation and disconnection of the soundtrack.
