WL//WH Video Of The Day: BLOOD ESTATE & TOTAL “Pattern”

Video Of The Day  BLOOD ESTATE

Blood Estate, the Brooklyn, New York-based DIY Shoegaze/Ambient Rock poet & musician Julias Doogan, returns, after a reflective hiatus, into a creative rebirth with a video for “Pattern”, a collaborative song with Total, a singer & songwriter from the neighbouring State of New Jersey.

Sitting comfortably at the immersive intersection of ambient, shoegaze, and ethereal dream pop, “Pattern” ushers Total’s sad, diaphanous vocals, to gently radiate, then fall beneath a tranquil rippling airy breeze, woven by glistening guitar embroideries, layered with blurry, wistful key melodies, softly stirring tinny percussions, hovering drone buzzes, and an interlude of tragically swelling, subtly shrilling, light distortions, to reveal a deadly pattern, embedded deep within, that hinders a natural connection with others.

The paired DIY visuals for “Pattern” place a foggy, water-covered filter over a beautiful, sun-drenched wintery landscape and display the soul-stirring lyrics to the soundtrack. A beautiful trip down a country road into a snowy forest is clouded over by a fuzzy layer of grey, detail-smearing vision to evoke a sense of melancholy, disappointment, and alienation.

Keep up with Blood Estate:
