WL//WH Video Of The Day: TRANXHAINE “Post-Suicide Club” (Official Video)

Video Of The Day TRANXHAINE

Tranxhaine, the newcomer French DIY Post Punk trio, unveils the Official Video for their second single, “Post-Suicide Club,” blending Post-punk, Dark Wave and Cold Electronic textures to explore the daunting side effects of survival.

“Post-Suicide Club” was written after a moment where everything stopped, a place where time felt suspended, where nothing outside seemed to matter anymore. It comes from that strange space between collapse and safety, where pain is still present, but held differently. A place where you’re not alone anymore. For anyone who has ever had to stay.

located somewhere between a sudden fall and safe refuge, “Post-Suicide Club” sets a cold grey, doom-laden ground of steady clattering programmed beats and bouncy rumbling bass lines, topped by uncanny, echoing stabbing chimes, scathing, sparkling guitars, and hopeless biting bursts of soaring synth flurries to encompass wistful, anxious female vocals, turning to shadowy aloofness, with ‘A home for the broken, beaten and damned.’

In the Official Video, a man with dark circles under his eyes participates in a group therapy session alone. Chairs are placed in a circle, and refreshments are served before a soul-stirring conversation and a struggle with self takes hold. Messages handwritten on paper cups further explain that he is living in the aftermath of a crisis where his denied pain and feelings of failure have numbed and erased what he once felt. All he can do now is walk side by side with his shadow until he feels again.
