Hailing from the North-East of Italy, the young Verona-based band Edere combines Noise Rock and Shoegaze into a dynamic and immersive guitar-driven sound that revolves around heady rushes of crunchy distortion and dreamy reflective respites, balancing grit and mood, energy and vulnerability in an intriguing way.
The four-piece has just dropped their second single so far, titled “Torpida,” a deeply intimate song about feeling disconnected and aimless, frozen in apathy.
Intricate, gleaming, introspective moods, rippled by repetitive, gloomy, glistening pinpoint low-end pulses, alongside steady hypnotic drums, are fractured through by subtle bursts of jagged, buzzing fuzzy riffs, blanketing over vibrant, emotional female vocals, longing under bouts of scratchy, high intensity agony.
