Mas is an audiovisual Parisian project composed by Theo Fernandez and Samantha Corti, who “finds its inspiration not only in popular culture but also in the experimental cinematographic and musical genre of the XX century”, they create “scenarios painted by words, music, images and filmic memories”.
The new 4-tracker “Visage” is their 5th release through Lpc [La Petite Compagnie], a label and collective of French audio-visual artists.
Introduced the cinematic dark atmospheric tension of “L’homme en cuir”, keeping the same visceral mood with the brooding and foreboding downtempo hypnotism of “Dissection”, “Visage” is closed by the poignant and mesmerizing industrial techno rhythms of “Elle est borgne”.
“L’orbite vide” is a stark and highly infectious minimal dark synth laden hit of brooding sensuality, made of pulsing and hypnotic bassline and slashing, menacing, clapping beats in a possibly dangerous game of seduction played by a teasing and taunting female vocals against the whispered sultry male one in an intriguing game of excitement, deception and mistery.
