Track Of The Day LA CABELLERA DE BERENICE
According to a commentary below the video, a moniker most likely inspired by a song by pioneering 80s Mexican Synth-laden Post-punk band Size, Cabellera de Berenice is a new, no less synthy, enigmatic minimal dark electronic solo project by Monterrey-based artist and musician Cinthia Castañeda, who delivers “music from the mind and soul of a seeker.”
The first demo single “Jardín Salvaje,” lyrically, is a poem about how the modern human condition of emptiness, automation, and hive mentality has killed art.
Relentlessly rattling, increasingly staggered, drum patterns lead a forlorn tapestry dappled by echoing twinkling piano keys, drifting sad synth tones and remote eerie echoes, to surround vibrantly heartfelt, frustrated vocals, struggling to radiate through a thick murky aura of melancholy and dejection.
