Bibo and Beyond, the Italo-Polish darkwave /synthpunk band based in Milan, returns with a new distortion-drenched, claustrophobic single, “Wherever You Are,” which deals with repeating a decision and getting the same result, based on a ‘sight’ that the television provided.
Driven by tensely low plumping bass pulses, along with tight, stompy drum patterns, the song provokes a slow crawling, corrosive layer of screechy feedback-laced guitars, at times switching to a drier, restrained, still abrasive tone, surrounding vibrant, wistful female vocals, mirrored by menacing detached male echoes, aching in looping drained feelings of regret.
