WL//WH is pleased to welcome the Nashville, Tennessee-bred relocated to L.A., dynamic Cosmic Psychedelic Rock’n’Roll power trio Ttotals to the blog with a premiere of the heady video by Peter Curtis, for the band’s latest jam, with a high lysergic content, “Need A Plan.”
Ttotals draw from the misty mind-altering visions of bands like Teardrop Explodes, Deerhunter, Jesus and Mary Chain and Echo & The Bunnymen to bring us the self-released multi-dimensional 12-track full-length album, “TRANSMISSIONS” due out on August 28, 2023, featuring Lindsay Mackin from Annabelle Chairlegs and Kim Fields from The Stargazer Lilies.
“Need A Plan” creates intoxicating atmospheres that rise and fall in mystical shapeshifting moods over a surreal concoction of heavy pounding drum beats, groovy, prowling bass line reiterations, warbling and stretching guitar phrases sunk into lysergic effects, rippled by dizzying echoing fuzzy swells, swirling nostalgic keyboard swathes and urgent aching soulful vocals, to invoke a desert mirage dreamscape at night under the endless possibilities of starlit skies.
Accompanied visuals by Peter Curtis open the mind’s eye of subconscious thought forms to sync seamlessly with the transformative vibes of the soundtrack. Vibrant hues, kaleidoscopic spins, and depth-defying dimensions bend and morph perception, opening unknown horizons that pulse and flash in tandem with the radiating aural waves, allowing the viewer to feel guided through the psychedelic experience with their own personal insight.
