WL//WH Video Of The Day MY RAINING STARS
The French Guitar Pop auteur Thierry Haliniak, under the My Raining Stars moniker, unveils his third and final single “Wherever” from the upcoming fourth album, “Toy Club,” due on July 10th via Too Good To Be True (EU) and Shelflife (US), paired with the music video curated by fellow artist Maud Anyways.
The French musician E-grand, Haliniak’s longtime friend, not only produced, arranged and mixed the whole new LP, which was mastered by the legendary Mark Gardener, but also played guitar, keyboard, and backing vocals on this track alongside Casper Iskov on drums.

Lyrically, an untold secret and a loved one’s bitter response to it lead to a rift in a relationship, creating regret, heartbreak, pain, and longing.
Pulling at the jangling, bright, and introspective heart-melting wistfulness from Sarah Records’ heydays, steady mid-tempo rhythms steer expressive layers of sparkling impassioned guitar melodies, edged by light abrasive rings of aching yearning vibrancy, to billow, and rock around the gloomy angst of male vocals, whilst immersive haloes of caressing backups and high echoes lend a warm comfort.
In the paired visuals, as usual, created by Maud Anyways, My Raining Stars comes in and out of focus as he sings “Wherever” with heartfelt sincerity. Throughout the clip, the sun is a prominent feature that rises, sets, blinds, and creates shadows. A beautiful golden country field where wheat blows in the wind sets the earthen foundation for a group of large birds gliding in the sky. After looking between one’s fingers with a hand held out in front of the eyes, the ambience changes to teal. Then a shadowy silhouette and a lone bird head toward an open sunset until darkness takes hold, syncing seamlessly with the loss and eternal commitment of the soundtrack.
My Raining Stars‘ forthcoming fourth album, “Toy Club,” is due out (CD & Digital) on July 10, 2026, co-released by Shelflife Records (US) and Too Good To Be True (EU/ROTW).
