Video Of The Day LustTone
LustTone, the Greek Post-Punk / Cold Wave duo made of Crete-based Mihalis Flouris (vocals, guitar, synths) and Anastasis Pash (bass), rolls out their second Official Music Video by Mihalis Flouris himself for “Lost Soul”, taken from last October’s 11-track debut album, “Living In A Dead World.”
Dark, industrial, dance-impelling flickers ignite a fuzzy sonorous syncopated bassline that menacingly chugs alongside crunchy and thumping driving programmed beats, over which a vibrant droning array of thrilling shivering FXs, eerie collapsing synth expansions, and wavey hypnotic exotic melodies, swirl around dual male vocals, alternating lost fear with distorted degradation, before ‘dying in a dead world with my dead soul.’

A symbolic, thought-provoking official music video by Mihalis Flouris begins as Anastasis Pashidis lies on a dirt floor with bound hands, clothed in a white industrial suit. There is a strobing light, and three men wearing black trash bag outfits remove a hood from his head, slap him across the face, take him down a flight of stairs, and stab him in the back with an axe. Then, the trio bring the victim, who is not physically dead, above ground to a monochromatic wasteland where he is forced to eat a nasty unknown substance before red wine is poured down his throat. Finally, more dark plastic people arrive and ceremoniously give him the black synthetic wrap to put on so he can become one of them, syncing seamlessly with the loss and death aspects of the soundtrack.
