KELPIE is the Australian New Wave / Gothic Rock music project of Brisbane based artist Rhos Pridham, who has just dropped a spellbinding video by Nila Vanwolf for the soul-stirring new track, “Tangled Moon”, to fuse lyrical elements of alchemy, archetypes, and human essence with a riveting, gothic romantic soundscape wept in greed, chaos, and untamed passion.
Evocative haunted bright synth strings weave shimmering pain prickling guitar melodies through steady stumbling drum beats, and sinuous bleak bass vibrations, to simmer and sway in agonized emotional wistful feelings around a dramatic vocal layering of celestial cries, baritone croons, secret whispers and distant obsessive echoes, to draw deep-seated fear, guilt, and angst from a dark hollow well of anguished souls.
Eerie nocturnal atmospheres, directed by Nila Vanwolf, cast in ceremonial candles, tribal masks, and melancholy moods elicit lurking dangers from the ancient forces of wicked desires.
