Hazy Waters, the London, UK-based Alternative Rock /Indie trio made of Agnieszka Trawczynska aka Agness (vocals), Aleksander Kaczmarek aka Aleks (producer), and Simon Velazquez (synths), unveils an Official DIY Video for “High”, the first single of the year, featuring Marek Radziminski on drums.
Channeling powerful, electrifying 90s alternative rock energy infused with shimmery shoegaze undertones, the band blends, with fresh and captivating flair, driving rhythms, abrasive guitar riffs, swirling atmospheric keys and a dreamily breathy yet brazenly powerful, bewitching female vocal delivery.
Lyrics are a heady confession from a person who sees a pretty woman and starts to fantasize about a relationship with her, through the lens of competing viciously against another.
“High” compels groovy digging bass lines to rubberily pulse alongside steady mid-tempo drum beats, awash by noisy guitar riffs laced with moody female vocals, shifting between bright, cheery dreaminess, playful laughs, and whispery chanting layers that burst into screams amidst chaotic synth intervals cast in emergency sirens.
In the DIY Official Video, a youthful, frolicsome Hazy Waters performs “high” under partly cloudy blue skies to sync with the elevated vibes of the soundtrack. Indoor swimming pool shenanigans combine with impromptu dance moves, a punk rock, pink-haired cupid, and suggestive, computer-generated accents to create a colorful, candid comedic fantasy.
