One of the bright talent emerging from the current Netherlands‘ electronic underground scene is the Amsterdam-based, ‘fetish-inclined’, vocalist and performer Sophie du Palais also known as “Vrouwe Fataal”.
After an excellent collaborative EP “Aborting Your Dreams” with her usual ‘partner in crime’ Job Veermanv aka Identified Patient on Pinkman at the end of last year, continue on the same dark path of “Sleep With No Rest”, with a pair of brilliant new tracks appeared few days ago on her Soundcloud page.
“Up To No Good” sounds as lo-fi and minimal as dense and hypnotising, a raw blend of EBM and acid-coated electro, built on the sleazy and menacing vocals of Sophie combined with dark and bristly relentlessly groovy beats.
Be aware! She will ‘abort your dreams’ once again.
