Track Of The Day Kate de Rosset
After last January’s fifth album, “It Will Burn”, released via the art collective and audio-visual label founded by Gloria de Oliviera, La Double Vie, the North Carolina-bred musician and composer Kate de Rosset unveils the first single, “Chase the Bloom”, straight from her home studio, part of a work in progress sixth full-length album.
In a world obscured by ominous clouds on the horizon, it is a sheer ephemeral delight for the senses to be enlightened by the enchantment and allurement of Kate’s transcendental electronic dream-pop, straddling expressive melancholy and uplifting rays of hope.

“Chase the Bloom” is a song about love, transcendence, and promising to stay by a loved one’s side.
Punctuated by shaky, thudding programmed beats, rich, airy swells of wistful organ tones, joined by the poignant fragility of winding flute-like motifs that smoothly grow and breathe, to brighten achingly beautiful, vibrant celestial vocals gently and breathlessly soaring with hope and trust.
Keep up with Kate de Rosset:
