Active for over a decade, EISHA (E.I.S.H.A.), the acronym for ‘Electronics-Inspired Synth-Harmonized Audio’, is the solo synth project of the Brooklyn, New York-based musician Arjun Bhaduri, who explores different facets of past/modern day synthesizer sounds, amid cold wave, dark synth-pop and minimal electronics.
The new single, “Aquarius,” sparks off a chilly, obsessively shivering flurry of whirring, icy-blazing synths that combines with gritty, buzzing, bouncy bass grooves and unremitting retro-charged, thumping programmed beats, to swirl around stern baritone spoken words and gentle longing emotions, bringing forth a both heavy and light aura that feels mechanically danceable and soaringly surreal.
