Moscow-based Omerta label is back with its second collection. “OMERTA Vol. 2 “ delivers 22 full-length thrillers from the world of dark sound, in the best traditions of the label’s recent releases.

We spent about six months working on this release—more than half of the contributors are our international friends. It turned out quite well. When asked, “Who is Zed and why is the cat on a chopper?” we can only answer with a slight grin.

WL//WH is pleased to premiere the cinematic and emotionally immersive shadowy techno cut, “More Than Just A Sign” by Colombian electronic artist (Implantable Technology, formerly one half of Alpha & Necromante), Magnum Opus, lifted from the incoming Omerta Records‘ 22-track Various Artists compilation “OMERTA Vol. 2 .”

Magnum Opus is renowned for his knack of blurring the lines between EBM, industrial, electro and dark techno, where profound earnest emotions and a bodily rhythmic drive pulse and vibrate in persistent unison.

A deep, raw, hypnotic percussive techno introspection, weighty with poignant melancholy, capped with a scratchy haze and dim off-kilter chimes, compelled by relentless wooden shuffling drum patterns and swelling fuzzy bass grooves, that rise and fall betwixt anxious and simmering buzzy high frequencies amidst tragic glowing desolate synths, in search of “more than just a sign.”

OMERTA Records’ upcoming V/A “OMERTA Vol. 2 “ compilation will be released digitally on August 8, 2026.
