WL//WH Premiere GALÁN / VOGT
Following the mesmerizing GALÁN / VOGT debut album, “The Sweet Wait”, released on Editions Furioso in November 2021, created by the collaboration between Málaga born, Spanish Ambient /Experimental composer and multi-instrumentalist Pepo Galán, and Paris-based Australian dream-pop vocalist and musician (one half of Heligoland), Karen Vogt.., it’s time for an incoming 1o-track collection of its remixes and reworks titled “All The Time In The World”, from which WL//WH is pleased to Premiere “Between The Tides” (Ada Remix) .
Ada is the longtime alias of Cologne-native, Hamburg-denizen electronic music producer, DJ, singer, and DJ Koze’s Pampa Records affiliated, Michaela Dippel, with a groundbreaking debut album release “Blondie” in 2004 and several releases with renowned labels such as Kompakt, Cereal/Killers, Areal and its sub-label International Records Recordings, under her belts.
More vibrant and less melancholic than the original, the Ada rework uplifts the beautiful emotionality of Karen Vogt’s vocals into the intoxicating strength, longing, and passion of a Romantic hardship where an unexpected Spring-like backdrop of dreary, fragile electric piano glows, organic thumping bass plucks, sad dramatic saxophone blows, and misty climatic shakers loops, carry vulnerable celestial outflows, away from a sinister emergence of droning and fluttering primal frequencies, toward an instinctual survival of rebirth.
