Le Brame is the solo project of Federico Piegaja, a Tuscan artist and musician based in Lucca.
Inspired by the New Wave and Synth Pop sounds of the 1980s, Le Brame draws influence from iconic Italian acts like Franco Battiato, Matia Bazar, and Litfiba, blending nostalgic atmospheres with modern electronic production.
WL//WH is pleased to premiere the opening track, “Malinconica,” taken from Le Brame’s upcoming debut album “Universi Paralleli”, due out on April 25, 2025, via the independent label Elettrochoc.
A mercurial song based on the experience of a girl who, to overcome the difficulties of a relationship, takes MDMA, only to become entrapped, in turn, by a conflictual dependence, at once positive and negative, with it.
An adrenaline-fueled instrumental rush, of tightly booming, punchy drum patterns, tense, thick bass throbs, ringing guitar stabs, and dramatic synths, stumbles its way through a surreal string-wrapped spoken world interlude, where a troubled soul escapes from a hellish reality by spinning down a vortex with urgent baritone gloom, shifting into softly high falling cries, before finally becoming relaxed and balanced.
