Glasgow, UK-based Sci-Fi Kraut-inflected Electronic Pop collective, Tomorrow Syndicate, return on the WL//WH frequencies, after the 2020 sold-out ltd 7″ 2-tracker “Populous/Living In A Simulation” [Polytechnic Youth], to signal the beginning of a new era for the band with the mesmerizing space-dusted new single “Interphase” paired with a video by Gerard Espie, showing a glimpse into the upcoming 12″ EP “Higher Resolution”, via Feral Child Recordings.
A creative transhumanist metaphor sheds emotional trauma during a regenerative process of “Interphase”, giving way to rebirth as a fine-tuned being.
Foggy introspective waves of light stir twinkling rippling guitar echoes, fizzing airy iridescences, pulsing silky bass lines, contemplative elongated synth tones, and soft pattering drum beats, around relaxed ecstatic vocal dreaminess, expanding, mindfully, into a focused headspace where resonant bright pinpoint chords shred hazy auras of collective doubt whilst pulling the listener through a shapeshifting spiral of transformative perception.
Crafty, symbolic computer-animated visuals by Gerard Espie blur the boundaries between virtual and material realms, to form a universal consciousness in sync with the heady soundtrack. Intimate performance shots, cast in celestial visions, engage the viewer with a hybrid reality where cloned reflections, artificial hues, and fragmented identities coalesce into a depth-defying portal of esoteric insight.
