The beloved Istanbul, Türkiye-based Darkwave duo of Furkan Güleray and Çağla Güleray, aka Ductape, while on a little pause from their yearlong Faded Flowers Tour 2026 across Europe, have dropped an Official Video, directed by Altay Erlik, filmed live last month at Lido in Berlin, for “Obscure,” the third and final single from the forthcoming September album, “Faded Flowers,” via the independent label Swiss Dark Nights.
Lingering with emptiness and disenchantment, “Obscure” broods in the bitter gloom of having one’s fire taken away, igniting murky, anxious bass lines, to throb alongside lashing drum beats, shaking up layers of doom-laden, agonized female vocals whilst impelling, piercing guitar stabs to ring and stutter amidst dire swells of buzzy alarming synth melodies.
The Official Video, directed by Altay Erlik and photographed by Emrah Celik, captures Ductape, raw and stripped down, as they perform “Obscure” on a strobing stage, live in Berlin. A green laser light show by Peter Isachenko projects symbolic imagery and trace overlays on top of the duo to bring forth abstract, cyber animations that sync perfectly with the thought-provoking lyrics.
Ductape‘s third and final single is out now on the major sharing platforms, while the forthcoming album, “Faded Flowers,” is set for release in late September via the independent label Swiss Dark Nights.
Keep up with Ductape:
