One more talented band from that new, alternative and fertile generation of musicians from Russia are Shoe Shine Six from Yekaterinburg east of the Ural Mountains. The band initially started rehearsing in 2016 and in the rise of 2017 they were finally formed as a 4-piece band. Katarina, Paul, Mike, and Serge gathered four exploding shoegaze songs and put them in their first Sunday EP which was released earlier in January. Fuzzes, buzzes, a dream pop “curve” in all their tracks and on the certain alternative rock/shoegaze path they follow which comes straight out from the likes of Slowdive, Sonic Youth, A Place to Bury Strangers, even Siouxsie sometimes, and The Cure! They groove it a lot and they throw some serious pain in their music that needs to be turned loud to get their sleazy and distorted feedback.
