Video of the Day The Chelsea Curve
The Chelsea Curve, the Boston, Massachusetts -based ’79 Mod Revival-inspired Power Pop trio made of Linda Pardee (Bass, vocals, keyboards, and claps) Tim Gillis (Guitars, vocals, keyboards, and claps), and Bruce Caporal (Drums, tambourine, and claps), drops a music video directed and produced by Joan Hathaway for the breezy Summer love tune “Kindawanna” via Rum Bar Records.
The single’s infectious soulful groove bounces through a vibrant emotional whirlwind of hard-hitting drum beats, urgent bass pulses, frantic ringing and melodious guitar riffs, and jittery shuddering keyboard swirls, spiraling layers of rapidly nostalgic and ecstatic vocals, into a hyper clapping, tambourine-shaking finale of upbeat, moving on with a special person, moods.

In the first official video release in three years, Joan Hathaway and Alex Bandow follow the threesome to some of their favorite Boston locations. Shuffled within the field trip, The Chelsea Curve perform “Kindawanna” alongside the river near a bridge at sunset. Strategic editing accelerates the lively urban fun of frisbee and champagne toasts into a high-speed hangout that syncs seamlessly with the soundtrack.
The Chelsea Curve are headed to England for a trio of shows this week, while announcing their upcoming new single, “Never Come Down,” scheduled for Friday, August 29, on all the best streaming platforms through Rum Bar Records.
