Video Of The Day PARADOX OBSCUR
Paradox Obscur is the magnetic dark electronic duo from Athens, Greece Kriistal Ann and Toxic Razor, who return with a gripping cybernetic video, directed by Sheng-Yang Su for the anthemic dance track “Animal Reactor”, the first teaser from the band’s forthcoming fifth album, “MORPHOGENESIS”, due out on May 6, 2022, through Metropolis Records.
Following the acclaimed previous 2020 LP “SYNΘESIS”, “MORPHOGENESIS” consists of nine songs interconnected with the deeper meaning of the evolutionary process, where each song is tuned to be part of a single entity.
“Animal Reactor” triggers alluring auras fusing electronic layers of quick undulating bassline danger, distant ticking domains, fearful breaths, scattered, crackling beats, obsessive sparkling stabs, and icy-bright synth synapses into an enthralling spatial cosmos of swirling sensations around commanding breathy vocalizations, releasing depth-defying echoes of possessed animal energy into a neon-lit dancefloor bliss.
Red and blue glowing sci-fi visuals blend the intoxicating and magnetic dancing energy of Szu-Haou Cheng, Kai-Ning Chung, Wen-Yi Wu, and Hsin Ho with a hip wardrobe by Egg Roll Boys to construct a mysterious, modern timeline hypnotically in sync with the dystopic soundtrack. Shimmery strands of air blown tinsel glow like 32gb cyber trails over an edgy, high-energy performance cut by surreal transition scenes of Paradox Obscur to etch grainy flashback distortions over the mind’s eye of interpretation. Over-exposed, strobed lighting exposes tubes of confined architecture fueled by an influx of synchronized, kinetic body movement to open eerie unexplored territories from the cold, dark depths of an isolated hysteria into a mind-altering immersion.
