WL//WH Video of the Day: SILUETT “Blindside” (Official Video)

Video Of The Day  SILUETT

Made up of veteran musicians Liz Panella, Jakob Arvidsson, Johan Sverredal, Victor Ahlström, and Calle Guldbacke, Siluett is a new Swedish Post Punk outfit from Uppsala, which rolls up an Official Video for the debut single “Blindside”, teasing the forthcoming 12-track album, “Visitors”, scheduled for release January 30, 2026, via Distinkt Records (EU) and Velouria Recordz (North America).

Emerging from the vibrant local underground scene, the quintet channels raw energy and haunting electricity. Their sound fuses the darkness of the 1980s with a sharp, modern edge-nostalgic yet undeniably fresh. With members hailing from acclaimed acts such as Rotten Mind, Earth Girls, Real Tears, and Siamese Twins, SILUETT draws from deep punk roots to craft something uniquely their own.

With lyrics steeped in dark realism and emotional gravity, “Blindside” is about being stuck in tunnel vision on a one-way street drenched in sorrow and separation.

The song ignites churning bass grooves and taut, thudding drums to relentlessly pulse under atmospheric layers of glistening, piercing, and vibrant multi-textural guitar riffs, reverberating with a shivering, wistful edge around strained emotional vocals, yearning for feelings of the past, cloaked in poignant, glowing waves of rushing nostalgia.

The Official Video, with cameras by Hannah Curling and Calle Guldbacke (also editing), places a transformative overlay atop Siluett as they perform “Blindside” in sync with the soundtrack. The coloring is a deep blue tinted black and white lens that is similar to inverse lighting. Strobe lights and the imaginative use of changing momentums bring forth a racing vibe as everything speeds up, slows down and switches direction into a shadowy group ending.

Siluett‘s debut 12-track album, “Visitors”, is scheduled for release on January 30, 2026, via Distinkt Records (EU) and Velouria Recordz (North America).
