Video Of The Day RED NIGHTFALL
With already three albums under their belt, the Self-Titled debut goes back to 2013, Toronto-based Independent Indie Rock band Red Nightfall, made of Greg Arnold (Drums, Percussion), Patrick Illian (bass), Addison Siemko (Piano, Synth, Back-Up Vocals), and Jason McLean (Vocals, Guitar), have recently shared an Official Video by Kaspian Kondrat, Scott Warren, and Jason McLean for “Past the Sirens”, lifted from last end of year’s third LP, “Some Prefer Death.”
The Canadian foursome delivers classic guitar-driven rock patterns, with folksy streaks, pretty consistent in the equally intense songwriting quality, and emotive melodic sensibilities.

A song about temptation, loyalty, freedom, and the individual, “Past the Sirens” tumbles along on loose, bustling drumming and fuzzy throbbing bass lines, while slightly distorted shimmery guitars riffs diffuse simmering electricity, layered with obsessively slender fluted keyboard flutters, meandering with restless agonized male vocals, to build into a frantic jarring tempo shift, before a brief clearing, “I’d face my fate and stand to be free as only one.“
Cinematic visuals by Kaspian Kondrat, Scott Warren, and Jason McLean set Kirk Percival as Oedipus against a fall foliage strewn backyard to sync with the angst of the soundtrack. A hesitant walk up a side pathway next to a house leads to a window that shuts abruptly. When the wind comes and blows the leaves off of a small table, a kitchen knife is shown lying underneath. It doesn’t take long before the man picks up the blade and violently stabs himself in the eye. Then, he bleeds out in agony.
