Track Of The Day Slo Moon
Hailing from Savannah, Georgia-based singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Brent Collins, under his moniker Slo Moon, dips into airy, lush, atmospheric filigree mists of ecstatic and ethereal 4AD style dream-pop (“Fading”) along with luminous reflections of finely reverb-laden textured, widescreen shoegaze, decorated with suggestive electronic flourishes (“Please Dont Wake Me, Im Dreaming”), to build vivid, cinematic and pulsating sensory soundscapes, casting towards escapist phantasmagoric sidereal dimensions, pervaded by an overarching stirring heartfelt melancholy.
Slo Moon is going to drop his long-awaited self-released digital debut full-length album on July 26, 2022.
The entrancing and soulful “Until the End”, the third and last song to be unveiled in advance, although already available on download along with the LP purchase, triggers steady vibrant drum beats, punctuated by warm bass swells and resonant metronomic dull synth strokes, layered by droning glowing spirals of incandescent flittering guitar glimmers, to stretch skyward over lost, vulnerable wistful vocals, floating exhausted with the angsty and emotional urgency of a tormented heart.
Slo Moon‘s 10-track debut album, “Off World”, is due to be released, in digital format, on July 29, 2022, already on pre-order via the artist’s Bandcamp along with the new tune “Until the End” available to download when you preorder the album.
