Copenhagen‘s post-punk / noise-rock four-piece are back with a new unreleased track, the first from their last 2014 third studio album titled “Plowing Into The Field Of Love”.
The raucous and sumptuous“Catch It” develops over a hypnotic and intricate layered guitar sound, dominated by the powerful and deeply emotive commanding vocals of the charismatic frontman Elias Rønnenfelt that do nothing but enhance its emotional impact in a sort of psychedelic trance by means of repetitions and slow changes to express intense conflicting feelings and emotions. A sound as dense as it is melodic, as harsh as it is infectious, with its surprising turbulent and wrecked instrumental back-and-forth coda, adds this time, to their tangible Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds influences of late, also a slightly Velvet Underground’s flavour, that will get you emotionally affected.
The video shot on 8mm film in Los Angeles by director Adam Hashemi features a cameo by the actor David Dastmalchian of David Lynch’s Twin Peaks” and “The Dark Knight” fame.
