Video Of The Day THIS ETERNAL DECAY
This Eternal Decay, the prominent Industrial Electro-Wave Italian project made of staple musicians from the Roman dark underground music scene, namely Riccardo Sabetti (Spiral69), Andrea Freda (Spiritual Front) and Alessio Schiavi (Avant-Garde), tirelessly continues to rock the stages of the major European festivals and venues with a seemingly never-ending tour extended all over the next year.
After dropping their fifth studio album, “SPETTRO” at the start of 2025, the trio returns with the new single, “Kiss Me I’m Dying”, via Swiss Dark Nights, a highly danceable Darkwave anthem infused with electro-driven tension, New Romantic atmospheres and a haunting emotional charge, accompanied by a striking video by Adriano Leo; a release that marks the beginning of a new chapter for This Eternal Decay with more announcements to follow soon.

The track explores the intense interplay between desire and self-destruction, where passion turns into obsession and vulnerability becomes strength,
driving, crashing programmed beats and nervous, grumbling bass lines stew under intervals of epic, pain-filled guitar wounds, nagging icy clinky synth stabs, and clanking reverberations, whilst fiery, strained male vocals echo and suffer under the betrayal and confusion of a difficult relationship, unto a gripping, dramatic saxophone release of pent-up tension.
The paired visuals by Adriano Leo begin with the cover of a 1486 witchcraft document called Mallevs Maleficarum and showcase This Eternal Decay performing “Kiss Me I’m Dying” under shapeshifting edits. The embellishments contain granular grey mists, red etheric flames, and blurry trace overlays to bring forth the notion of possession and struggle, syncing seamlessly with the soundtrack. A shot of Henry Fuseli‘s 1809 painting “Romeo at Juliet’s Deathbed” is shown, furthering the themes of life and death, light and shadow, love and pain that are woven throughout the vision.
