Slathered between Lisbon, Paris and Berlin, LusoAmerican duo Velvet Kills, made up of Su Eko on Vocals/Bass and Harris Iveson on Guitar/Synths, have announced their sophomore new album, untitled “Bodhi Labyrinth”, due to be released, vinyl 12″ and digital, on March 7, 2020, in co-operation with Icy Cold Records, Manic Depression Records and Unknown Pleasures Records.
Velvet Kills relentlessly crafts lush, elegant and danceable synth-punk jams, infected with electro-rock, post-punk and darkwave hints, to strike a perfect balance of sensuality and drive, pervaded by an unmistakable sense of darkness and eroticism, oozing with stirring glam vibes.
Lustful yet mysterious, captivating yet subduedly disturbing, “In The Gold Mine” unleashes simmering, wandering bassline that pulse ominously, propelled by punching, steady drumbeats, pierced by loud static hum and hiss, along with dangerously abrasive synth slabs, as equally fiercely determined and subtly aggressive female vocals subvert menacing toxicity of a secretive dystopian plot, inducing a hypnotic state of fervor and ecstasy.
Keep up with Velvet Kills:
